McLaren Racing Team Leaves Australia After Covid-19 Virus Scare
Happy days for Formula 1 racing team McLaren who personnel has fully recovered from the deadly bug Covid-19 virus and he has now returned from Australia where he was held in quarantine.
The 16-man team was forced to self-isolate when one of them was tested positive for the virus just on the eve of the 2020 Australian Grand Prix leading to the cancelation of the race. Seven others have subsequently been canceled as a measure to avert the spread of the virus.
"We are pleased to confirm that as of yesterday evening, all team personnel who were in self-isolation in Melbourne as well as management who had stayed with them, have now safely returned home," the team wrote in a tweeted statement.
Amongst races that have been canceled are Bahrain GP, Vietnamese Grand Prix, Chinese Grand Prix, Dutch Grand Prix, Spanish Grand Prix, Monaco Grand Prix, and Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
