McLaren Member Getting Better From Coronavirus Infection
The 2020 Australian Grand Prix could not hold over the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus which a McLaren member was tested positive for ahead of the race cancellation. Now, the racing team has announced the patient is gradually recovering from the virus infection.
Zak Brown, McLaren CEO, in a statement, praised his team's cooperation in handling the member's condition and that he is recovering well and the symptoms related to the infection have all gone.
"I'm happy to report that our team member affected with the virus is recovering well and the symptoms have gone and our people in quarantine are in good spirits," Brown confirmed.
Besides Australian GP being rescheduled, the organizers of Bahrain Grand Prix and Vietnam Grand Prix have also canceled the event over the out of coronavirus until a new date will be announced for the race to hold.
Brown added, "The support they have been getting from their team-mates, our partners, members of the F1 community and fans from around the world has been fantastic and our thanks to all of them."
