Ighalo Odion Says "I Am Living My Dream" At Manchester United
Without a doubt, Ighalo Odion is having the best time of his career now that he is at Manchester United on a loan move from the Chinese super league Shanghai Shenhua.
Goals keep coming in from the Nigerian international and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer could not but be delighted at making that right decision that brought him to Old Trafford on the Deadline Day in January. Obviously, he works out well in the attack having scored four goals in three starts for Red Devils.
He confessed to living his childhood dream with the club he would save his lunch money to watch as a kid in his native country, Nigeria, and not appearing in his wildest dream that he would someday play for the same team that he was devoted to watching. He confessed he is now "living his dream" at Old Trafford.
Now 30-year-old, the striker recalled watching Manchester United games on the TV with his siblings, who are supporters of the club, and from there, he started developing a passion for the club and would go to viewing centre just to watch Red Devils because his parents could not pay for the subscription fee.
"During the week, you had to save every day from Monday to Friday to be able to do that, so I'm happy I did that because my life was all about football," he said in an exclusive interview with Focus Football on BBC One.

Still, having to go to watch games at the viewing centre does not always mean that he has the right amount of money with him, sometimes he would depend on a kind customer to pay for him otherwise he would have to sneak in anyways.
He added, "Sometimes you would just go there and see if you were lucky if someone would pay for you or sneak you in, but sometimes it wasn't possible. Sometimes you would just hear if they score - when they shouted "goal!" when Man United scored."
Ighalo has proven to be effective in the attack in the absence of Marcus Rashford, who is out-of-action on a back injury and might not return until late in the season. Also, there is a good understanding between him and newly-signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon.
"He's a great player. he has vision. He's the guy who wants the ball because he can do something fantastic with it if you give him space," he said about the Portuguese who also joined the club in January.
Ighalo revealed the call up from United was the last thing he expected, though he was aware they were interested in him, since they were in talks with someone else, Joshua King of Bournemouth, he could not really depend on it. When his loan move finally landed, he ran to his director's office with a translator and id not sleep until 6:00 AM. It was unbelievable for him. Now, he is definitely living his dream.
