Formula One: Spanish And Monaco Grand Prix Postponed
Formula One continues to have more Grand Prix suspended as organizers of both Spanish and Monaco Grand Prix also announced their races are postponed over the Covid-19 virus pandemic.
The 2020 Australian Grand Prix was meant to be the season opener as usual but was postponed after a McLaren team member was tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. The infected member is understood to be recovering from the illnesses related to the virus.
Both races were originally scheduled to hold on May 10 and 24 respectively but the organizers of the Spanish in a statement confirmed the cancellation stating that the measure is taking "with great sadness" considering the coronavirus pandemic.
The season is expected to kick off in May when it is expected to be safe to hold an event and that will yet not be now that neither of the races slated for the month will hold. Apparently, all first seven races have now been canceled.
In a separate statement, Monaco organizers also confirmed the cancellation without any plans to hold an event this year stating that "under no circumstances" can it host a race this year.
