Floyd Mayweather Wants To Buy Newcastle United Over

Newcastle United is about to get a new owner from the United States as Floyd Mayweather wanted to have an ownership stake in the Premier League club which is currently owned by Mike Ashley.

The boxer who earned a whopping $500 million from his fight with Conor McGregor in 2017, might stand a chance of owning the club which Ashley purchased in 2017 for $500 million. Presently the club's valuation has dropped considerably according to Forbes which estimated its current valuation to be $381m (£296m).
When asked about his interest in buying the club during a fan Q&A in Newcastle on Sunday, the undefeated boxer wasted no time to make known his interest in owning the club someday.

"Newcastle football team is an unbelievable team," he responded to the moderator. Then he turned to the crowd and said: "If the people want me to buy the Newcastle team, let me know!"

Well, without a doubt, money is not a problem the 43-year-old who earned $68 million from a fight that lasted for two minutes with Japanese kickboxer, Tenshin Nasukawa, in 2018. He definitely has more than enough to embark on a takeover of the club as he is estimated to worth well over $700 million by Forbes.
