Borussia Dortmund Executive Wants Jadon Sancho To Stay
Jadon Sancho is one English starlet that is potentially set for a return to the Premier League from Bundesliga with links to top-flight clubs at home, but Borussia Dortmund chief executive, Hans-Joachim Watzke, claimed the winger is "happy" and would like to remain at the club in summer.
Dortmund are faced with the possibility of losing the starlet to either Manchester United or Liverpool, both who have since summer been monitoring the player's performance at the club despite having a huge transfer fee of £100m.
When asked by BBC Sport about the player's future at the German side, Watzke expressed his confidence in him to stay with the claim that Jadon's future is better at the club rather than leaving.
"I think he has the feeling that the club does have a good future," said Watzke who would prefer to have him at the club than letting him leave for either United or Liverpool.
Liverpool's linked to Jadon is dated back to his days at Manchester City but could not reach an agreement for a deal with the club for a reason Reds' manager Jurgen Klopp claimed was because City did not want to sell the player to a rival team.
Watzke went to explain why he wants the player to stay the club saying, "For us, it would be the best position if he stays at Borussia Dortmund. We have enough money. We want to have titles. I think this team has a lot more potential with Jadon than without Jadon."
Borussia sealed the transfer of Jadon from City for just £10m in January 2017 and it has been a good testimony for the German side for which the winger has scored 31 goals in 88 appearances in all competitions. This season alone, he leads the side with 14 goals in 22 league games appearances.
