Bayern Munich's Interest To Keep Manuel Neuer Thwarts Chelsea's Link

Chelsea's bid to bring goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to Stanford Bridge Bayern Munich, might not materialize as the Germans are keen on keeping him, thwarting Blues' move for him as Kepa Arrizabalaga's replacement.

Neuer has until the end of the season in his contract with the German giants and is yet to renew his contract with the club, casting doubts over his interest to remain with the German. Yet, there are speculations that he would renew his contract to remain at Allianz Arena despite Chelsea showing interest.

Chelsea are considering a replacement for Kepa as he is linked to Barcelona, who are considering a swap deal for him with Philippe Coutinho. It is noteworthy that Barca are not keen on keeping the former Liverpool winger who is on loan to the Bundesliga side.

The Catalan giants have since last summer been struggling to offload the Brazilian and now that they want to replace Marc-Andre ter Stegen with Kepa in summer, they are ready to give Philippe to Blues to facilitate Kepa's move to Nou Camp.

Bayern are already in talks with Neuer over contract renewal as reported by German media Bild, an agreement will leave Chelsea to consider other options such as Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jan Oblak, Andre Onana, Juan Musso and Marc-Andre ter Stegen - Blues are reportedly already in talks with Gianluigi's agent and AC Milan for a deal worth £63 million.
