Arsenal's Manager Mikel Arteta Tested Positive For Coronavirus


Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta has been tested positive for coronavirus as the deadly bug continues to take its toll on sportsmen forcing the postponement of fixtures.

Nottingham Forest and Olympiakos owner, Evangelos Marinakis, is one of the foremost to be tested positive for the COVID-19 virus which he contracted on his trip to Greece. He has since been isolated and put undergo necessary medical care after showing symptoms.

Arteta confirmed in a statement he was tested positive on Thursday after going for a test for "feeling poorly" and will return to his duty at Arsenal when he is allowed to.

"This is really disappointing but I took the rest after feeling poorly," Arteta revealed. "I will be back at work as soon as I'm allowed."

Likewise, Juventus star striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has chosen to self-isolate following the spread of the virus in Italy which has claimed well over 300 lives.
