Arsenal Urged To Sign Burnley's Chris Wood As Replacement For Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Manchester United are in dire need of an attacker and are understood to be linked to Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for signing last in summer.

Currently, United have Ighalo Odion who is doing well in the frontline since joining the team on loan from the Chinese super league side Shanghai Shenhua in January and has giving Red Devils the required boost in the attack scoring four goals in eight appearances in all competitions.

Ole Gunnar Ole Gunnar now has to choose between Odion and Arsenal's player come summer. United are not alone in the race for the Gabonese forward as Barcelona have also been linked to him. Nonetheless, securing a move with Aubameyang would not materialize unless either of the teams is ready to meet up with Arsenal's demand of a £50 million transfer.

Arsenal are aware that keeping their captain at Arsenal might not be possible since he has not shown interest in renewing his contract with the club. He has until 2021 in his contract and can leave by January otherwise he will have to leave as a free agent at the end of his contract.

To fill the gap his exit will leave in Arsenal, Burnley's Chris Wood has been tipped as his replacement, a football analyst Matt Scott suggested for Mikel Arteta.

Should Aubameyang choose to leave in summer, Arsenal have players like Alexander Lacazette, Gabriel Martinelli and Eddie Nkettiah to fill the gap in his exit, but Scott thinks they do not seem to be vibrant enough.
