Spartacus Lead Actor Kirk Douglas Dies, Aged 103
Kirk Douglas, an iconic figure in Hollywood who starred in the lead of the 60s film Spartacus has passed away. He was aged 103 until his death on Wednesday.
The deceased's son confirmed his death in a lengthy statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday. Douglas who was born in 1916 started his acting career in the 50s with 'Young Man With A Horn' and made his last appearance in the motion picture was in TV series Empire State Building Murders in 2008.

"It is with tremendous sadness that my brothers and I announce that Kirk Douglas left us today at the age of 103," the statement by his son Michael Kirk Douglas reads.
"To the world, he was a legend, an actor from the golden age of movies who lived well into his golden years, a humanitarian who commitment to justice and the causes he believed in a set standard for all of us to aspire to."
