Premier League: Son Heung-min Stoppage-time Goal Hands Tottenham Victory Against Aston Villa
Tottenham came from behind to beat Aston Villa by 3-2 with a stoppage-time goal from Son Heung-min that stole the victory for the side and moved them up in the table.
Spurs moved a place over Sheffield United to rekindled hope of making the top-four after closing the gap with Chelsea, trailing by just a point to be in the fifth position. On the contrary, Villa are in a fight not to slide into the relegation zone as they are just a point away from the red zone.
Toby Alderweireld mistakingly tapped in Anwar El Ghazi's cross from close range past Hugo Lloris to give the struggling hosts the lead. To Villas' disappointment, Alderweireld later equalized the lead for Spurs, smashing home a right footed shot from inside the area after Drinkwater's headed the ball into his path.
On the brink of half time, Son Heung-min converted a penalty drawn by Bjorn Engel and the centre-back undo his error that gave away the lead to Spurs by heading home a corner to level the scores for Villa.

Engel, yet again, handed Spurs another fabulous goalscoring chance, allowing Lucas Moura's cross to slip past under his foot and Son ran into it and went on with it into the box for the finish dead in the added minutes.
Sad day for Villa, much unfortunate for Engel who in the starting lineup in the absence of Tyrone Mings'health issues and there was doubt that he was overwhelmed by the pace and force brought into the game by Spurs. The Belgian's disastrous errors simply wrecked the game for Villa and dashed their expectations of getting at least a point off the game.
Son's brace happened to be his career's 50th Premier League goals for Tottenham and despite Toby Alderweireld could have wrecked the game or Spurs with an own goal, he made up for it and made him the third player ever to score for and against the London-based club after Gareth Bale in 2012.
