Premier League: Man City v West Ham Postponed Over Storm Ciara
Today's Manchester City league game against West Hammer will not hold due to Storm Ciara which meteorological reports say will be ravaging the United Kingdom with a gale-force of 90mph.
City lost their previous match by 2-0 against Tottenham Hotspur last Sunday with newly-signed Steven Bergwijn opening the scoring for Spurs on his debut appearance. Apparently, they are out of league title race as they trailed table leaders Liverpool by 22 points.
"Due to extreme and escalating weather conditions and in the interests of supporters and staff safety, today's match has been postponed," City's spokesperson said. "Further information regarding the rescheduling of today's match will be published in due course."
In the same vein, Scotland's Women's Six Nations match against England has been also been canceled like all six fixtures of Women's Super League that were meant to hold today.
