Pep Guardiola Is Certain About Raheem Sterling's Commitment To Manchester City

Uefa's two-season ban from all international competitions served to Manchester City has fueled the speculations that Raheem Sterling will soon take his exit from the club which Pep Guardiola has come out to clarify as false and that the player's remain committed to his team.

There are suspicions that Real Madrid will be coming for Sterling in summer for a move to Bernabeu, a possibility created for them by Uefa ban since that will mean City will not be participating in the Champions League even if they finish in the top four of the Premier League.

Sterling was squeezed by a Spanish outlet AS during an interview, on his link to Real but the attacking midfielder maintained that he is "really happy" at Etihad, nevertheless, he can not rule out being "opened to challenges" from other clubs who interested in him for signing.

Guardiola did not find that Sterling's position offensive and said when asked about the comments that his players are "free to say what they think. We're not here to tell them what they have to say."

He added, "I'm completely sure [of] the commitment of our players. It's about what they've shown for many years - nothing changes. At the end of the season, nobody knows what is going to happen."
