Pep Guardiola Dismisses Plans To Leave Manchester City, Says "This Is My Club"

Manchester City are not going to participate in the Champions League competition even if they qualify following a two-season ban served them for breaking the financial fair play rules by Uefa.

City have stated that they will be challenging the sentence at the Court of Arbitration for Sport because as for them, Uefa's ruling was prejudicial towards them and lacks the competence to handle the case they prosecuted them for. The Premier League club was also served a £25 million fine by the body.

In the midst of this, there are a lot of speculations that Guardiola will be leaving Etihad soon, but that may not be the case with the Spaniard, who dismissed any interest in leaving, rather will prefer staying for as long as the club allow him.

When about his next move after the club's two-season ban from all European competitions, he revealed that it is his desire to remain at the club for as long as he is allowed "if they don't sack" him.

"I love this club. I like this club. I like to be here. This is my club and I will be here, no matter. The club has to fight and I trust the club 100%, what they have done and they have explained to me."

An investigation was launched after a German media outfit revealed that the club's Abu Dhabi-born owner Shiekh Mansour has been financing the club through his Airline company between 2012 and 2016 up to the tune of £65 million. Those claims did not sit right with Guardiola who said the "truth will prevail" at the end of the day.

"We appeal. When someone believes they are right they have to fight," he said. " We are professionals on the pitch, what happens off it we cannot do much."
