Mo Farah Pulls Out Of London Half Marathon Over Achilles Injury

British Olympic gold medalist, Mo Farah, has withdrawn from participating at the oncoming London half marathon themed "The Big Half" over an Achilles injury.

The four-time Olympic champion explained that his decision to pull out of the competition will allow him to work on his fitness leading up to this year's Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in summer.

He added, "For that reason I have had to make the tough decision not to race this year. I have definitely hope to be back again in 2021."

The 36-year-old won last year's Great North Run title for the sixth consecutive times in September and will be defending his gold medal titles in 5,000m and 10,000m at the Olympic Games in summer.
