Malaga FC's President Nasser Al Thani Suspended For Six Months By Spanish Court

Qatari president of Spanish club Malaga, Abdullah bin Nasser Al Thani, has been removed from his role at the club after being found guilty of financial misappropriation.

Al Thani was dragged to court by a group of Association of Small Shareholders, who filed lawsuits of "unfair prejudice and improper" handling of funds and management against him at a regional Spanish court.

The businessman who bought over the club in 2010 was found guilty of the allegation leveled against him at the court and has reportedly been replaced by a judicial administrator in the meantime.

Malaga's fans have not been getting on well with Nasser Al Thani and there have been calls to have him removed from management for the poor handling of the club's finances.

The team plays in the second division of the Spanish football (Segunda Division) and are in the 15th position with 34 points.
