La Liga: Real Madrid Beat Osasuna To Extend Table Lead
Real Madrid recovered from trailing Osasuna and canceled out Ruben Garcia's opener to claim a massive 4-1 and extended their La Liga table lead by six points.
Zinedine Zidane's men were eliminated from the Copa del Rey in the semi-final by Real Sociedad in a 4-3 loss. They joined their rivals Barcelona who also lost 1-0 to Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
Osasuna entered the game with an offensive until that effort produced a goal from Garcia's perfectly aimed header following a corner. Real stepped up their game and forced their hosts to be defensive and got two goals before the half time break.

Gareth Bale assisted in the third goal with a side-footed deflected pass to Isco, who volleyed the ball home to level the scoreline. Five minutes later, Sergio Ramos put Real in the lead with a header from Casemiro's headed pass just five minutes after the equalizer.
Osasuna could not push back on opponents' attack to get an equalizer as Real seized the later part of the game to extend the scoreline even further with Vasquez slamming into the net Karim Benzema's pass, and Luka Jovic completed the scores with the fourth with a left-footed volley from Vinicius Junior's lob pass in the stoppage time.
Former Chelsea forward Eden Hazard was ruled out of the match and he is expected to return for the game against Manchester City in the knockout stages of the Champions League. Gareth Bale was subbed for Vasquez on his return from injury but had lasted in the game for 70 minutes before coming off.
Real remained unbeaten in nine consecutive games against Osasuna as they extended their league game win streak to four games in a row to stay atop the table with 52 points.
