Justin Bieber Upsets Elvis Persley's Record With Latest Album 'Changes' Making His Seventh #1 On Billboard
Until now, no artist has matched the record set by Persley with straight seven albums landing at the #1 spot of the Billboard album chart for 59 years, but Bieber upset the record as he made the feat with Changes for his seventh time at 25-year-old.
The new album is the Canadian singer's first in four years, yet it debuted the market as the third-largest sales recorded so far in 2020 with 231, 000 sales in its first week according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Meanwhile, Bieber kicked off the year with the release of 'Yummy' which peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and in #3 in Canada.
Justin peaked at the top spot for the first time in 2011 with My World 2.0 and that reigned for four straight weeks. The streak was interrupted with My World Acoustic in 2017 which took the #7 on debut and ever since, every other album released until now has notched the top spot.
