Inter Milan Are Considering £92 Million Bid For Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang In Summer
Arsenal might have to contend with Inter Milan if they still want to keep Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Emirates Stadium as the Italians are reportedly planning to make a big offer for him in the oncoming summer transfer window.
Aubameyang had promised to commit his career to Arsenal longer than summer despite rumoured link to clubs outside of Premier League in January, but Inter are not relenting as they are ready to dole out £92 million in a desperate move to secure his move to Turin.
Inter understood that Lautaro Martinez is Barcelona's main target in summer to make up for Ousmane Dembele for whom they have signed Martin Braithwaite from Leganes following a hamstring injury sustained by the Frenchman.
Another important reason Inter are ready to cough out that much for the Gabonese to leave Arsenal was that Barca desperately wants to replace Luiz Suarez and they have spotted Inter's Argentine forward, Martinez, as a good match in the attack alongside his countryman, Lionel Messi.
Martinez has a release clause of £92 million in his contract with Inter which Nou Camp is understood to be ready to trigger anyway in summer according to ESPN. That, in effect, leaves Inter with enough revenue to go after Aubameyang and Arsenal might be ready to let go and make money from the deal since they have a replacement for him in the person of Brazilian forward, Gabriel Martinelli.
Aubameyang scored twice in 3-2 win against Everton on Sunday to lead the side to secure their first two consecutive league game victories under Mikel Arteta. The Gabonese tops in goalscoring with 15 goals in 24 league games played so far this season as Gunners continue to fight to make at least Europa League qualification.
