Cristian Ronaldo Scores To Mark 1000th Game In Juventus Win Over SPAL
Juventus maintained table lead with Cristian Ronaldo marking his 1000th career game with a goal in the team's 2-1 win over SPAL that extended their lead by four points over the nearest team, Lazio.
Ronaldo, who has the most goals in Champions League history with 128 goals extended his scoring streak to this season to 11th consecutive league games to have a record of 21 goals in 21 league games appearances.
Juve opened the scoring with Ronaldo tapping in Juan Cuadrado's cross after Paulo Dybala's striker from outside the box clipped the post. The Serie A defending champions extended the lead after the break as former Arsenal player Aaron Ramsey lobbed the over Etrit Berisha for the second goal.
SPAL later got a consolation from a penalty and converted by Andrea Petagna but they could not undo the scoreline as Juve went to claim the victory with Ronaldo reaching a career milestone of 1000th career goals.
