Chelsea In Talks With Ajax For Hakim Ziyech
Chelsea, potentially, soon will be making their first signing this year as talks between the club and Ajax for Hakim Ziyech has reportedly reached an advanced stage.
Frank Lampard let the January transfer window pass without making any signing for Chelsea but that was not that there was no interested player in view. Actually, there is and it was the Dutch side's attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech who is on the club's priority list for signing.
Chelsea declared a net profit of £173.7 million on Monday after serving transfer ban for breaking the Financial Fair Play regulation which was lifted in December by the Court of Arbitrary for Sport following an appeal.
It is understood that Blues in negotiating for a transfer fee of £38 million with Ajax for their 26-year-old and a deal is expected to be completed in a matter of days.
There has been a need for Eden Hazard's replacement since the Belgian moved to Real Madrid in summer in a five-year deal worth £130 million. Chelsea have been keeping a close watch on the Ditch player for his contribution in his team's 4-4 draw with his side in the Champions League group stage match last season.
