Whitney Houston, Biggie And Nine Inch Nails Named Amongst 2020 Rock Hall of Fame Inductees

Whitney Houston and late iconic hip hop artist Christopher Wallace also known as The Notorious BIG has been named amongst artists who will be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Just last year, the 'Hypnotise' rapper who rose to fame for his 1994 hit collaboration with Craig Mac 'Flava In Ya Ear' was memorialized in New York after the street where he was born was changed and named after him likewise the Wu-Tang Clan who was memorialized by the city council.

Depeche Mode, T Rex, Nine Inch, and the Doobie Brother are also in the list of candidates that are to be inducted this year by the organizers of the ceremony.

Speaking about being selected, Nine Inch Nails member, Trent Reznor, told the organizers that it was "pleasantly a surprise" to learn about the group's candidacy for indiction.

He added, "When I look back at how Nine Inch Nails are received, it always seems like we fall between the cracks. I don't know if it's a defence mechanism, but I just assumed we'd stay in the category, so I'm pleasantly surprise to see us acknowledged."

The announcement of the list of new shortlisted inductees out of 16 candidates was made on Wednesday by the organizers. The ceremony will be held on May 2 at the Public Auditorium In Cleveland and for the first time, the ceremony will be broadcast live on HBO
