Tottenham Agree Deal With PSV Eindhoven For Steven Bergwijn
Steven Bergwijn soon will be on his way to White Hart Lane following an agreement between Tottenham and PSV Eindhoven on a deal move for him in this transfer window.
Spurs' need for the 22-year-old was necessitated by Christian Eriksen's move to Inter Milan and his signing will help the team fill in the gap left off by the Dane on the attack. Eriksen completed a deal move to San Siro on Tuesday for a fee of about £16.9 million.
Signing the forward to Tottenham is reportedly set to cost the club £25.6 million and will include add-ons that will see the fee rise. Even the Dutch is understood to be in a high spirit for the move and was rumoured to have traveled to London without his manager's sanction.
PVS frowned at Bergwijn over the speculation and was dropped out of the team's training session this week as he was suspected to have traveled to London for medical already. However, his manager, Ernest Faber, dismissed that as untrue and that he approved of his trip.
