Rihanna Addresses Issues With Shaggy Turning Down Featuring In Her Album

"They approached me for the Rihanna project yet. There's a lot of great people involved," he said. "But for me, I didn't need to audition to be on the record, I'll leave that to younger guys. But for what I hear it should be good."

After the 51-year-old revealed dropping out of the album themed 'R9' that over the weekend, it has got many think what could have gone wrong but a close source Barbadian singer has reportedly dismissed the claims made by Shaggy that he was asked to audition before being given a chance.

"We are working on an album, not a talent show, so why would she (Rihanna) require Shaggy or any artist to audition," the representative is quoted as saying. "We hope Shaggy will come out and let the fans know the real truth."

Rihanna teased the anticipated album is definitely going to drop this year in an Instagram video update in December. The album release will bring the 'Work' singer's four years break to its end.
