Premier League: Roberto Firmino Seals Victory For Liverpool Against Wolves With Late Goal

Roberto Firmino helped Liverpool find the needed winning goal late into the match that sealed their 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers and widened their table dominance to 16 points clear nearest team.

Apparently, Reds are on track to lifting the Premier League title this season but their victory against Wolves took some work as Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez penetrated their defense successfully but could only get a goal out of their attempts.

Jordan Henderson put Reds in the lead with a header following a corner in just eight minutes into the game and Jimenez equalized for Wolves with a header from Traore's cross in just six minutes after the break.

Mohamed Salah had a scoring chance but Rui Patricio palmed his shot to safety

Traore again worked out a through pass for Jimenez who raced out of the pack for a strike but his shot was saved by Allison.

Firmino drilled a powerful strike from inside the box to put Reds back in the lead and Wolves could have forced a draw on stoppage time but Diogo Jota wasted a scoring created by Traore.

Sadio Mane could not finished the game as he was substituted by newly signed Takumi Minamino following a muscle injury after half-hour of play.

Liverpool's unbeaten run has been since last year January and are almost in a cruise to the glorious end of the season for their first league title since 1989/90 having led the table by 67 points.
