Premier League: Liverpool Thrash Sheffield United To Seal Year-Long Unbeaten Run

Liverpool has had no stopping of the unbeaten run as they sealed a calendar year streak with 2-0 win against Sheffield United and they extended their table dominance by 13 points clear.

Reds had superior control of the game and wasted no time to move up in the lead as Mo Salah brilliantly finished off threading pass Andy Robertson from inside the area very early into the game. The Egyptian forward also came close to doubling the lead in the second half but the ball clipped the bottom right of the post and bounced out for Dean Henderson to catch.

After an hour, a good combination of effort between Salah and Sadio Mane paid off and resulted in the second goal as Mane slammed in the ball from close range after Henderson palmed into his reach.

Olivier McBurnie was close to getting a goal for Sheffield from Jack O' Connell with three minutes remaining but Allison leaped to catch the ball from going in on the goal line.

Liverpool have not only dropped two points in all league games played throughout the year and are coasting to their first Premier League title since 1990.
