Premier League: Fans Mock Solksjaer For Manchester United's Defeat To Burnley
Manchester United had a disappointing game at home against Burnley and Ole Gunnar Solksjaer bore all the blame as the team's supporters booed him out of the pitch for the loss.
Burnley made away with 2-0 victory whilst United wasted two scoring chances as Anthony Martial was unable to finish opportunities created for him by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Nemanja Matic.
Whilst United can not make use of their chances, Chris Wood volleyed home from close range a knockdown from Ben Mee and the victory completed the scoring Jay Rodriguez did a one-two with Wood before smacking a left-footed shot home from inside the box.
At this point, United was better considered the losing side and the last time they come close to threatening Clarets' Nick Pope but Mason Greenwood shot went just wide. The victory snapped their winless run against United that has lasted through 15 away league game.
"There are loads of thoughts going through my mind. At one point it felt like we were creating opening and didn't take them," said Solksjaer. "The players are giving everything, they have done absolutely fantastic so far this season but they know it wasn't good enough tonight."
