Pep Guardiola Finalises On Future At Manchester City

Pep Guardiola is definitely not going to complete a Premier League title hattrick this season as the team trailed behind rivals Liverpool and he will not be leaving Manchester City in summer or anytime unless the management "sack" him.

The Spaniard had a spectacular run last season when he won a domestic treble which was first of its kind for a head coach in English football - City defended the league title for a back-to-back win in the previous season.

Thus, being an achieving manager with the antecedent of winning trophies in his spell at every league that he has served, speculations were that he might trigger the release clause in his contract and leave Etihad if he failed to lift the league title. Apparent, that is not in Pep's plans rather he would prefer to stay on at the club even.

"Unless they sack me, I am staying, 100," said Guardiola. "It's not because we have won the last two games. I enjoyed working with these players. We've lost games so it is simple. We need to work out what we can do better."

Liverpool are ending for their first Premier League title win since 1989/90. They closely trailed City - the defending champions, last season in the race to lift the trophy but missed out by just a point difference.
