Manchester United Withdraw From Interest In Tottenham's Christian Eriksen
Manchester United have withdrawn any interest in signing a deal with Tottenham Hotspurs' Christian Eriksen in this window as the midfielder is on the count down to his contract expiration at the club.
Eriksen had a chance with Spurs for a contract extension but he seemed not interested in staying any longer at the club and understood to want to leave the Premier League altogether in search of a new home.
Hanging around to catch the Dane whose contract expires by the end of the season is Inter Milan and its chief executive, Giuseppe Marotta, confirmed their interest in him, however, he revealed they had not yet entered into any discussions with his club, Spurs.
Left to Spurs' manager Jose Mourinho, he would suggest he "stay" at the club there is no need for the 27-year-old to leave after playing for "such a long time" during which White Hart Lane has transformed into one of the best stadia in the world.
If Inter's link remains, Eriksen would join his United counterpart Ashley Young who wanted out of the club to join Inter in summer despite a one-year contract extension offer given him to keep him at Old Trafford.
