Kalidou Koulibaly Closes On Move To Leave Napoli For Paris Saint-Germain
Kalidou Koulibaly is one of the most sought-after defenders by a number of clubs including Manchester United which he was linked to last season but their interest failed to materialize into a move to Old Trafford.
Whilst the Senegalese link to United is no longer in view after they signed Harry Maguire for £80 million in summer - a record-breaking for a defender, Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly come in with a deal offer to the player.
Napoli previously demanded a transfer fee of £80 million for the player from United which later rose to £100 million after talks broke down but that price tag has now come down as the Ligue 1 leaders are understood to be offering Koulibaly a four-year contract of £10.2 million - that amounts to a pay rise £1.2 million for the player compared to what he currently earns at Napoli.
Having met with fee demands for the player, PSG director Leonardo is understood to be in talks with the 27-year-old on the deal signing that will secure his move tp Parc des Princes in this window.
Apparently, Koulibaly is set for a PSG move rather than Manchester United as the French side now poles to signing him. He joined the Italian Serie A side from Genk in 2014 during which he made 232 appearances in all competitions.
