Inter Milan Agrees On Personal Terms With Chelsea Striker Olivier Giroud

Inter Milan are close to securing a deal with Chelsea for Olivier Giroud as they have agreed to personal terms with the player whose contract runs until the end of the season.

Whilst it looks like San Siro is set to be the Frenchman's new home, Barcelona are reportedly planning a surprise move for the player despite his link to the Italian side. However, Nou Camp is yet to make an offer for the attacker.

The Spaniards have their striker Luiz Suarez ruled out for four months over a knee injury. Invariably, Barcelona stand to miss the Uruguayan literally for the rest of the season and there is a need to fill in the gap in his absence.

Inter are understood to be offering the 2018 Fifa World Cup winner, 33, a contract of £4 million per year which potentially could rise to £5 million, according to Goal.com.

Besides Giroud, Inter are also linked to Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen who is keen on leaving the club and has also been linked to Barcelona with the transfer window set close next week Friday.
