FA Cup: Liverpool Edge Out Everton To Reach Fourth-Round
Jurgen Klopp did not stress with playing his top lineup starters in the FA Cup third-round match against Everton, yet what seemed as his reserved team did the right job and advanced the team to the fourth-round with a stunning game-winning goal from teenager midfielder Curtis Jones.
Everton's new manager Carlo Ancelotti conceded his first game with the team in a 2-1 loss to Manchester United and was unable to regain winning streak even against a Liverpool side that was basically much of appearance first-timers like newly-signed Takumi Minamino.
Toffees had held on to a goalless game until that came crumbling down when Jones did a one-two with Divock Origin on the edge of their box before Jones drilled a 25-yard shot into the top left side of the post for the opening goal in the 71st minute that decided the fate of the game in the end.

Jones' goal made him the youngest player ever to score in Liverpool's derby after Robbie Fowler in 1994. Also, the victory brought the Meyerside side's unbeaten home run against Everton to 23 consecutive games.
Minamino who was signed for £7.52 million from Red Bull Salzburg in December, played for 70 minutes on his debut and was subbed for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. James Milner picked an injury very early into the game and subbed by Yasser Larouci.
