2020 Oscar Nominations: Joker Gets Thumbs Up In 11 Categories To Lead List

As stakeholders in the film industry countdown to the 92nd Oscar Awards ceremony scheduled to be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on February 9, Joaquin Phoenix's starring film 'Joker' topped the list of nominees with 11 nods and closely followed by 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood' and The Irishman with 10 nominations.

There has been an outcry over the lack of diversity in the list and a famous stakeholder Tyler Perry has condemned the Academy for subbing Jennifer Lopez in the best actress in a supporting role for a film she starred in 'Are You Kidding Me'.

Whilst that mixed feelings are going on, Joker got all the juicy part with Todd Phillips and Quentin Tarantino of 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' nominated for best director. The Irishman also joined in this category as Martin Scorsese will be contending with for the best director.

As anyone would expect, Joaquin Phoenix did not miss out in the best actor in a leading role and will be contending against Adam Driver from 'Marriage Story' and Leonardo DiCaprio for his role in 'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood'.
