TI Addresses Daughter's Annual Pelvic Test Comments

Rapper T.I received a massive backlash for having to confess openly to that he would accompany his daughter to the doctor annually to verify her virginity status, just her hymen was intact until she turned 18-year-old in June. That did not sit well with many and they were quick to condemn him for even wanting to know if his daughter had had sex or not.

Early last month, Tip admitted he was that inquisitive when it comes to looking after his daughter named Deyjah Harris on Ladies Like Us podcast and even confirmed her as a virgin until her last birthday having told the hosts the test was often done the day after she turns a new age.

That was a shocker to many and no sooner that started calling him out on social media neither was Deyjah a fan of that confession. She obviously was not in support of her father talking about that publicly even though she did mind him accompanying her to the gynecologist for the test. By the way, she would mind if her mum, Tiny, wanted to be in the team as well as admitted by TI in the podcast.

Could rapper T.I have been taken out of context? That seemed to be as he defended himself on the new episode of Red Table Talk - a program hosted by Jada Pinkett Smith - that he started off "joking" and later began to "exaggerate" of the matter.

Also on the show with the Atlanta-based rapper was his wife Tiny who also confirmed that their daughter started the test from the age of 15 and did not dispute that she was accompanied by her dad whenever she was to visit the doctor for the test.

"I think a lot of people kind of took it extremely literal," he argued. "Because if you put any of my reputations, like who I am as a father, who I've been. I honestly thought people knew me better than that."

Tip believed his intentions were clearly "misconstrued" by the public and clarified that he was never in the exam room as many might have assumed he was. As for him, there are "weirdos" who found that as an opportunity to fabricate things that never happened.

"I am incredibly apologetic to her for that. To her. Not to any of these other strangers, any of these weirdos that just kind of toss lies around for fun."

The conversation later changed allowing him to express himself and his role in the house as a father. As for him, that role implies that he be attentive and involved as possible as he could in his family. Being involved in his family kept his daughter from being defiled by boys, according to him.
