The Matrix 4 Gets Release Date

It has been over a decade since the last Matrix film was released after it made its debut with the first entry 'The Matrix' as anyone would recollect. Warner Bros. is ready to end the hiatus after an announcement was made a few months ago that a new Matrix is in the making.

Warner Bros announced the release date for its sci-fi film 'The Matrix 4' with Keanu Reeves (Neo) and his onscreen colleague Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity) reprising their role.

The film has yet not been titled but the studios confirmed on Wednesday that the franchise's fourth installment will be due for release on May 21 2021 and Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus) is also ticked to return.

Also returning is the film's co-writer Lana Wachowski who will reportedly directing the film. Interesting part of the date set for film is that it tallies with Liongate's release date for 'John Wick 4' - a film starring Reeves in the lead role as "Baba Yaga".
