Salzburg's Erling Haaland Edges Closer To Leaving Side For Club In Bundesliga


European top-flight clubs head coaches are turning their heads to Red Bull Salzburg in an outlook for it striker Erling Haaland for a potential signing in the January transfer window. Apparently, Bundesliga clubs are in the lead in the race to land a deal with the player.

Erling is also not in the dark of attention being turned toward him and has reportedly been seen to have visited German side, RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund, a day after his team, Red Bull Salzburg, was knocked out of the Champions League in a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool on Tuesday.

Just as the Germans are gearing up to sign the teenager, 19, Premier League clubs, Manchester United and Liverpool, have also been pointed out as clubs nursing the desire to sign him come next transfer window.

It could be remembered that Reds' manager Jurgen Klopp warned his team of Haaland ahead of their match on Tuesday and admitted the striker is one tough player to stop. Just as they reportedly have his teammate Takumi Minamino on the wishlist, they are also keeping an eye on him as well, Sky Sports understands.

Amidst the links to Haaland, Leipzig head coach Julian Nagelsmann is already making necessary moves to ensure the player chooses to join his team and has even been speaking to his father over this.
