Rory McIlroy Cancels Competing In Saudi Arabia Golf Event

Rory Mcllroy has for some personal reason declined to compete in the oncoming European Tour event scheduled on hold next year on February 2 in Saudi Arabia.

The Irish golfer assured that he will "100 percent" definitely not be appearing at the event stating that he simply is just not "excited" about the event and that has to do with the country's alleged human rights issues.

"100 percent, there's a morality to it as well," he explained in an interview on Golf Channel. "You could say that about so many countries, not just Saudi Arabia."

The four-time major champion will join the like of Tiger Woods and other golf aces who have pulled out of the event but Mcllroy further explained that aside from reasons that may have been given by his colleague, he just "don't want to go."

Early in November, Mcllroy outclassed Xander Schauffele to win the Shehsan Internation WGC-HSBC Champions in Shanghai, China.
