Red Bull's Takumi Minamino Is On Liverpool Watch List For Signing In January

Red Bull Salzburg failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League but its winger Takumi Minamino has earned attention for himself from Liverpool. 

Jurgen Klopp's expectation was that his men should keep an eye on teenage striker Erling Haaland but the Japanese international stole the show and played a significant role in the Austrian side offensive in 2-0 defeat to the English side on Tuesday. 

Aside from Reds, European top-flight clubs from Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga, and the Premier League are understood to be considering joining the race to land a deal with the 24-year-old. 

Liverpool are reportedly planning to make an offer in the January transfer window for the player who has a release clause of £7.25million on his contract with the club he joined from the Japanese side Cerezo Osaka for less than £1million.
