Premier League: Salah Sinks Watford With Bracer For Liverpool

Liverpool unbeaten remained unwavering during Watford who they defeated 2-0 at Anfield with Mohamed Salah scoring double to give the side victory over the struggling opponents.

Watford had some chances that could have afforded them at least a goal but wasted all whilst Liverpool could have even won by a much wider margin had the VAR not ruled out Sadio Mane's header.

Salah curled home a brilliant shot from inside the box to give Reds the lead just moments after Watford's Mariappa missed smacking in through pass from Deulofeu.

The Egyptian sealed the victory on the brink of full time with a back flick when Mane's poorly smacked ball rolled to his reach in the box.

Reds extended their unbeaten run to 34th consecutive league games which is third-longest run in the Premier League after Arsenal and Chelsea. Also, Reds manager Jurgen Klopp signed a new contract with the club on Friday. The new deal will keep him at the club until 2024.

They now lead the Premier league table with 49 points whilst their closest rivals Leicester City followed with an eleven-point deficit. Manchester City are technically out of the title contest as they trail the table leaders by 17 points.
