Premier League: Dan Gosling's Late Goal Wrecks Chelsea For Bournemouth
Bournemouth wrecked their hosts Chelsea with a late finish from Dan Gosling that sealed the victory for the side by 1-0 at Stanford stadium. The goal was somewhat controversial but it was awarded anyway after a review was called.
Chelsea had themselves punished for a poor clearance following a corner that went in flight to Jefferson Lerma for a header back in the box and Gosling finished it a flick over Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Cherries have not won a league game since November and have gone six matches without a win until they eventually won against Chelsea. However, they had some chances that could have been converted to break the deadlock and likewise the host team.
Gosling's goal ended his drought with his first of the season that brought the team back to winning form which they last had against Manchester United by the same margin (1-0) early in November.
Despite the loss, Chelsea maintained their fourth position and would still remain for now as the closest team Sheffield United and Wolverhampton trailed apiece by a four-point deficit.
