Pep Guardiola Wants "Irreplaceable" Sergio Aguero To Stay At Manchester City

Sergio Aguero is gradually approaching his last stint at Manchester City, a team he joined from Atletico Madrid and his boss Pep Guardiola is hoping he would stay at the club even beyond his contract.

The Argentine is one of Guardiola key forward player with a huge goal tally of 244 in 355 appearances for the club in all competitions. Nevertheless, it is believed his planning to return to his country to join a local side Independiente.

Speaking about the 31-year-old intentions to leave, Guardiola urged him to choose to stay at the club if he wished to. However, he is aware his fitness can be a reason for his decision.

"Replacing him will be one of my biggest challenges because he is irresponsible," he said. "It is the most important moment for this club - more important than when it, hopefully, wins the Champions League."

Having stayed at the club since 2011, Aguero is one of the longest serving player at the club and twice was the club's highest scoring player.

"I've never seen such a big star br so humble and funny. He accepts my decisions when it sometimes doesn't work for him. Big stars don't [usually] do that."
