Pep Guardiola Says "Not Realistic" For Manchester City To Catch Up With Liverpool
Could it be that Pep Guardiola is beginning to come to terms with Manchester City losing Premier League title race to Liverpool following his statement that it is "not realistic" to expect his team to close the gap with their rivals.
The gaps between the two teams reached 14-point margin and Liverpool remained unbeaten whilst City's just conceded their second home league game to Manchester United by 2-1 on Saturday.
When asked about the title race, Pep admitted the team have making games ahead of them and that "it is not time to think about that."
The Spaniard manager went on to add, "We think about what we have to do and the next game - it is not realistic to think about catching up."
Liverpool lost the bid to win the league title to City last term by the whisker and now that they are only trailed closely by Leicester City whilst City are way behind, Pep is not naive of the challenges of catching up with the table leaders.
"Obviously it is so difficult because the opponents have had 16 games with 15 victories and they are on the incredible run and sometimes we have dropped points."
