Marey Carey's Christmas Song Tops Billboard Hot 100
Even Carey was aware of how her song released 25 years ago caught the music streaming platform by fire and reacted to the development with a tweeted message in which she wrote, "We did it" accompanied by emojis and should be expected a butterfly emoji.
The rise of the song released in 1994 which was as an EP, was that it scored 45 million streams, 34 million radio plays, and 27,000 digital sales in the past week according to the Billboard.
The long wait for the song to take the top spot of the chart of the Billboard 25 years after release also followed with a delayed gratification for the singer as it earned her career 19th number on the Hot100.
Ecstatic Carey also wrote in the tweeted message, "'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is officially No. 1 on the Billboard Hot100 for the first time this week, 25 years after its release.
