Joshua v Ruiz II: Sparring Partner Claims Joshua Is "Hardest Hitter", Floors Several Partners In Training Session

Anthony Joshua is leaving no stones unturned as his sparring partner revealed the former heavyweight champion has turned a "lion" and leaving partners "drops" one after the other in his build-up training for a rematch fight with heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz Jr. on 7 December.

Ruiz has boasted of doing serious damage to Joshua's legacy in Suadi Arabia where the fight is going to be held and Joshua assured his fans he will be coming back with the heavyweight belts - WBA, IBF, and WBO - he lost to the Mexican-American fighter in their first bout in June at Madison Square, New York.

However, Ruiz is not a fighter to undermine on any grounds considering how he rose to limelight on their first meeting that ended Joshua's unbeaten run. Ahead of the rematch, American boxer Timothy Moten has been working with the Briton on his skill and revealed he has been flooring nearly all that engage him in sparring.

"I've seen guys come into camp, get blown away and get sent home that same week," Moten told Daily Mail "He's dropped a few of his sparring partners and he's rocked a lot. Joshua is by far the hardest hitter I've been in the ring with."

Moten could not hide what he thinks of Joshua having trained with him and can only admit that he is truly ready "mentally" for the rematch and has turned himself to a "caged lion" ready for revenge on what happened in his first fight with Ruiz.

Having more to say on Joshua's preparedness, Moten added, "He says to me, "Ready, ready". Mentally he is in a good place. I can see that in his eyes. He got a focus I've not seen"

"He's got that warrior's spirit. His mentality is to destroy. He is like a focused, caged lion and when the time is right, he will unleash."
