Joshua v Ruiz II: Anthony Joshua Promised To Be Ruthless
It is no going back on the rematch fight for Anthony Joshua and unified champion Andy Ruiz Jr. on Saturday. On this day, three heavyweight titles - IBF, WBA, and WBO - will be up for grab between the former hold and the reigning champion and history is to be made by either of the two.
Joshua has been sharping his boxing skills for the past weeks in an attempt to rewrite history on a fateful day against Ruiz who dented his record with an unanticipated defeat in their first fight in June at Madison Square in New York.
So much has been said about the oncoming fight and Ruiz has warned he is coming for nothing less than yet another history and promised to do massive damage to Joshua's career in the desert. Unlike Joshua, the Mexican-American is having a great time ahead of the rematch, glistering in pieces of jewelry and entertaining interviews.
How Joshua hinted at his brutal plan for Ruiz on Sky Sports Box Office was actually without mentioning what he would do but subliminal by just saying "Back to 16th". That recalled how he ruthlessly beat American IBF champion Charles Martin to claim the title from him in 2016.
Timothy Moten, one of Joshua's sparring partner, revealed the Briton has turned into a "caged lion" knocking out sparring partner. He also revealed that the former heavyweight who demands utmost respect from his critiques when he ends Ruiz's reign, as the "hardest hitter" in boxing he ever knows of.
