James Milner Extends Contract With Liverpool
James Milner will remain at Anfield for a much longer time as the midfielder signed to a contract that will keep him at the club until 2022.
"This was obviously the ideal for me," says the 33-year-old. "Stay and play at the highest level as long as I can. There's a long, long way to go, but we'll keep striving to keep improving and getting success for this club."
The England international extended his contract on the same day his manager Jurgen Klopp signed new five-year contract with the club that will last until 2024. The German stated that he could not contemplate leaving the club as "collaboration remains totally complimentary on both sides."
Milner joined Reds on a free transfer from Manchester City in 2015 and won with the team their first Champions League title since 2004/05 and also won the UEFA Super Cup in August.
