Idris Elba Issued Sierra Leone Passport On First Visit


British actor Idris Elba is an icon in the film industry such that any country will like to have as its citizen and Sierra Leone wasted no time to seize the opportunity on his first visit to the country and issued him a passport.

Though born in London, the Dark Tower lead actor's father is originally from the coastal West African country whilst his mother is from Ghana. He has lived all his life in the United Kingdom, and for the first time ever, he jetted out to his fatherland on Wednesday.

The country's Deputy Tourism Minister William Robinson revealed that the British actor plan to spend his Christmas holidays in Sherbo Island - one of the country's renowned tropical beaches - and also a visit to the President Julius Maada Bio.

We reported yesterday, that the 47-year-old is expecting his first baby together with his wife Sabrina Dhowre, eight months after their marriage that was held secretly in Morocco.

The couple first met in 2017 before they announced their engagement during the screening of Idris film 'Yardie' at a cinema in Dalston, London where he proposed to her in 2018.
