Harry Potter Writer J.K. Rowling Tops World's Highest-Paid Author In 2019


The fictional fantasy film Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is such that launched J. K Rowling into the spotlight and she has been reaping big time from the great big time. She published the first edition Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in 1997 and has since sold up to 2.8 million printed copies in the United States alone.

Ever since then, Rowling has been smiling to the bank. According to Forbes, the British actor takes the top spot with total earnings of $92 million pretax. Following in the second place is James Patterson, the author of The President Is Missing, with a whopping $70 million.
