Granit Xhaka To Leave Arsenal, Agrees On Terms With Hertha Berlin
Hertha's head coach is confident that Xhaka will join his team in the oncoming window transfer and also confirmed that the two clubs have been in talks for the player's move. Arsenal are understood to be ticking up the demand of £35 million for the Swiss who joined them from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2016.
The former captain was stripped of his captain badge for an unacceptable behaviour towards fans that booed him off the pitch during the team's 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang took over the role of team captain from him.
Xhaka's agent Josh Noguera also confirmed that talks for his client's move to Hertha have reached an advanced stage. Also that the club owner Raul Sanllehi and team manager Mikel Arteta are aware of all their discussions with the German side.
"We agree with Hertha BSC and would like to go to Berlin," said Josh. "Arsenal was informed about all the steps, the players and Hertha are clear. It is only about the transfer fee of the clubs."
