Fikayo Tomori Signs Five-year Contract With Chelsea
Chelsea centre-back Fikayo Tomori has signed a permanent contract of five year with the club he returned to in summer after a loan at Derby County.
Fikayo has been in Chelsea regular starting lineup under Frank Lampard under whom he also played as a defender at Derby before moving with him on loan to the London-based club in summer. Lampard replaced Maurizio Sarri who left Chelsea to join Juventus in summer.
On signing the deal, the club's website quoted him as saying,"It's obviously a very proud moment for myself and my family. I've been at the club since I was seven years old so I don't really know much else other than Chelsea."
The 21-year-old started his career at the club's academy and was first loaned to Brighton & Hove Albion in 2017 after his promotion to the senior. He moved from there on another loan spell to Hull City and then to Derby.
